The collision happened just before 10am on Monday 14 September 2026 in the car park of Gifted in Lymington Road, and involved a blue Mercedes Benz Vito and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 40s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the Mercedes was not injured, according to Dorset Police following the crash.
Police Sergeant Mark Smith, of the Roads Policing Team, said a "thorough investigation" into the cause of the collision is taking place along with a vehicle examination, as officers work to establish what happened.
He said he wanted to hear from witnesses who had not already spoken to police, adding: "Please come forward", and officers also want relevant dashcam footage from motorists who were near the car park.
