The company says alcohol would be served indoors throughout the year, with a mobile outdoor bar used during summer months. The plan has drawn 120 public representations to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, including 94 objections.
Residents who objected raised concerns about noise, litter and disruption, and many highlighted the site’s closeness to a Site of Special Scientific Interest. A committee report said they believed “the scale and frequency of the proposed activities are excessive” for the area.
Supporters said previous events at the venue had not led to “significant noise, disorder, or other adverse impacts”. They also pointed to staff training, operational controls and the operator’s aim of keeping the site suitable for families.
The licensing committee is due to debate the application before making its decision in private.
