A family has paid tribute after a lorry driver was sentenced over a Poole collision.

Zebedee Watson, who was 17, lost his life after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a lorry at Holes Bay North Roundabout in Poole on Friday 28 November 2025.

Paul Graham, 56, of Stoborough, appeared at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court today after being charged with causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving and received a prison sentence of six months, suspended for 18 months.

The court also ordered him to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, and he was disqualified from driving for 18 months following the investigation by officers into the circumstances of the collision.

His family said he was ‘full of life’ with ‘his whole future ahead of him’, adding that evidence showed he had been riding responsibly and legally before the collision in Poole.

They said Zebedee was thriving on a plumbing course, worked for his uncle and enjoyed music, guitar, fishing, walking, motorbikes and classic cars, and described him as a loving son, brother and friend.
