Three new independent food vendors have opened at The Dolphin Street Food in Poole town centre.
Sumo Sushi, Ojo’s Pizza and Betsylicious are now trading on the first floor, joining Noodlebar and Loco Lime, with the centre saying the line up adds Japanese, Italian, Middle Eastern and Turkish food.
The street food area was introduced 2 years ago to give local food operators a place to serve customers in Poole, and centre manager John Grinnell said it brings vendors together at The Dolphin.
Sumo Sushi is run by the same group as Noodlebar and serves nigiri, sashimi, poke bowls and hot dishes, while Ojo’s Pizza was founded by Poole local Joe Wright with local ingredients.
Joe has opened his first physical restaurant with Richard Lee, including Pizza Pockets, after operating as a mobile pizza business and saying the move "feels like the right fit for us".
Betsylicious is owner Btissam Mikram’s first Poole restaurant, offering Middle Eastern and Turkish dishes including lamb shawarma, charcoal grilled meats, halloumi and falafel burgers, and she said she "can’t wait" to "share my creations with locals", with a launch event planned.
Sumo Sushi is open daily from 11am-9pm with delivery options available via Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Just Eat.
Ojo’s Pizza is open daily from 11am-9pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am-4pm on Sundays. Delivery options are available via Bournemouth Eats and Deliveroo.
Betsylicious is open from daily from 11am-9pm with delivery options available via Deliveroo.
