A Dorset food business will run the restaurant and café at Lighthouse Poole from September.
The Salt Pig is taking over the venue and renaming it The Artful Salt Pig at Lighthouse, with the change due on Tuesday 1 September.
The business began in Wareham 18 years ago and now operates restaurants and cafés in Swanage, Studland, Chesil Beach and at Poole Museum. It also runs Salt Pig The Farm Putlake in Langton Matravers, which includes a café, attraction farm, soft play and seasonal campsite.
Lighthouse Chief Executive Elspeth McBain said the partnership would allow the arts centre to focus on its “core mission of artistic and community development”. She said The Salt Pig’s work with Dorset farmers, fishermen and growers “aligns perfectly” with the venue’s values.
Owners James and Becky Warren said they were “excited to bring The Salt Pig” to the Poole venue. They said they work with more local farmers, fishermen and producers, with conservation and nature in mind.
The existing restaurant and café team has transferred to The Salt Pig, so customers can expect familiar staff when the new venue opens.
