That’ll Be the Day is returning to Bournemouth Pavilion as part of its 40th anniversary year.
The rock and pop variety production will be at the venue on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September 2026, with a Christmas version due at Bournemouth International Centre on Sunday 20 December 2026.
Founder Trevor Payne said the company has covered around 1.5 million miles over 40 years, while the show performs more than 200 times a year at venues across the country.
Bournemouth Pavilion has been part of its story since 1997, giving it a record of 24 consecutive summer seasons, alongside Christmas shows at the BIC and a regular place to develop new material.
Trevor, who recently turned 80, had planned to make the anniversary tour his farewell, but said his daughter Lauren encouraged him to continue because, in her words, it was “your baby”.
He said “Bournemouth became our creative home”, and BH Live’s Nicola Coney said it had been “a privilege” to watch the production grow at the venue over so many seasons.
