New flights to Porto will run from Bournemouth Airport twice a week from summer 2027.
The Ryanair route will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, giving passengers across the region another direct option for city breaks and longer trips from their local airport, the airport said.
Porto is Portugal's second-largest city and sits on the River Douro, with a historic waterfront, port wine cellars, food and culture, and links to the Douro Valley and the Atlantic coastline.
Managing director Steve Gill said Ryanair was adding Porto to its network from Bournemouth, and called the service "another welcome addition" which would give people across the region "even more choice".
Ryanair operated 20 routes from Bournemouth during summer 2026, including Trapani in Sicily and extra flights to Alicante, Malaga and Edinburgh, while Porto is among the first 29 routes announced for summer 2027 and the airline says flights are available to book now.
