The game stayed open late on, and Poole had to play the closing stages with 10 men after Harry Thomas received a second yellow card in the 73rd minute for kicking out.
Parkes made another save from distance before Slade shot over the bar with the final chance, and Poole will now visit Weymouth in the Dorset Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.
