A Poole cruise business is marking two years since a management buyout kept its boats running.
Coastal Cruises Poole celebrates its second anniversary this Thursday, 22 October, after Carol Scott took on the former Poole operation in 2024 when it was facing closure, with jobs and a familiar Poole Quay service at stake.
The independent company now runs three vessels, Solent Scene, Island Scene and Fortuna, with sightseeing cruises around Poole Harbour, Old Harry Rocks and the Jurassic Coast for families, visitors, groups and people marking special occasions.
Carol said the past two years had brought challenges but had shown “how much we can achieve together”, and she said she was proud of what the team had built across the boats, office and quay.
Staff also marked the end of the summer season with a trip to France aboard Barfleur, while Carol thanked passengers, local businesses, suppliers and tourism partners for helping the firm reach its third year.
A special birthday promotion is also available this weekend by using Birthday50 as the promo code for bookings this weekend.
