A retrospective plan seeks approval for 29 holiday flats at a Bournemouth hotel site.
The Glendevon Hotel on West Hill Road began changing parts of its building in August 2019, with the work completed in November 2022, according to planning documents submitted to BCP Council.
The application, from Bournemouth Glendevon Hotel Ltd, seeks permission for the change of use and conversion of each hotel floor into a mix of short and long-term let accommodation.
Plans say some rooms were kept for short-term stays, while others became long-term rental units, with all units available to rent rather than buy.
The documents say approval would “help sustain the premises and it’s surroundings into the future”, and add that the owners believe the development has provided “affordable living accommodation”.
The accommodation is described in the plans as being available to rent from one day through to long-term rental, which means the site would continue to offer different lengths of stay.
The proposal is open for consultation until October 23, under planning application P/26/03563/FUL, before the council makes a decision.
