A takeaway business could move into part of a pub on Holdenhurst Road in Bournemouth.
Planning documents say Domino’s Pizza wants to relocate from 6 Holdenhurst Road to a section of the ground floor at 2 Holdenhurst Road, with part of the existing pub kept in its “lawful use”.
The papers say access to the upper floors would stay in place, while a new dividing wall would separate the takeaway from the remaining pub space under the proposed layout.
The scheme also includes extraction and ventilation equipment, along with internal changes to create partition walls, a cold room, storage areas and office space for the relocated business on Holdenhurst Road.
The application says the move would create full-time and part-time employment opportunities, with staff recruited from the local area and some employees retained from the existing Domino’s store nearby.
BCP Council is consulting on the plans until 15 September, and the documents list the proposal as planning application P/26/03803/FUL for the change of use and associated alterations at the site.
