Thousands of runners joined Run Bournemouth 2026, raising more than £500,000 for charities over the weekend.
Six events took place along the coast, starting with children's races on Saturday and continuing with the Supernova 5K at dusk, before Sunday's Supersonic 10K and Bournemouth Half Marathon took runners past both local piers.
Newham and Essex Beagles runner Oluwatosin Adedeji won the men's half marathon in 01:06:07, while Cara Fiddy won the women's race in 01:21:17, with Poole Runners' Abigail Jones taking second place among the women.
Harry Hart and Poole AC's Emily Hilliar won the men's and women's 10K races respectively, while the Supernova 5K titles went to Olmo Velayos Hernando and Imogen Beisley, also of Poole AC.
Another part of the weekend was Sophie's Mile, when Edward Wilson and 10 family members and friends pulled a truck for 1 mile between Bournemouth and Boscombe piers in memory of Sophie Wilson, raising more than £50,000 with match funding.
Event director Neil Kilgour thanked volunteers and the local community, saying participants had helped make "a genuine difference", and confirmed Run Bournemouth will return on 9 and 10 October 2027.
