A Bournemouth building could be converted into nine flats under revised renovation plans.
Blue Bay Properties Ltd has applied to change a previously approved scheme, increasing the total number of apartments from eight to nine, with documents saying the revisions would make “more efficient use of the building”.
The extra flat would be created through a rear mansard roof extension, which planning papers describe as “sensitively designed”, and a full width rear extension would also be added over the existing rear projection.
Internal layouts would be changed to create larger apartments, while some flats would receive private terraces and the secure cycle storage area would be relocated and enlarged as part of the proposals.
The application also includes changes to parking and landscaping, alongside restoration and repair work to the Victorian building, which the submission says is intended to preserve its existing character on site.
The proposal is open for consultation until October 23, and it is listed by BCP Council under planning application number P/26/03599/OUT for anyone who wants to comment on the scheme.
