The Poole arts centre has announced a fresh programme which ranges from British folk and jazz versions of heavy metal songs to stage drama, poetry, cinema and dance circus for local audiences.
Eliza Carthy MBE will appear with her long term touring band, The Restitution, while Jazz Sabbath, led by Adam Wakeman, will bring jazz readings of Black Sabbath tracks to the theatre.
Drama is also part of the line up, with Birmingham Rep bringing A Thousand Splendid Suns, described in the release as the "spiritual sequel to The Kite Runner", from Tuesday 11 to Saturday 15 May.
Motionhouse will present Four, a mixed dance circus bill about "human connections", and the new list also includes Sense and Sensibility, Sean McLoughlin, Luke Wright, Pinocchio and The Great Big Bug Show.
Seiners and Quarry Path, which was created in part at Lighthouse through its Sanctuary residency, will use words, cello and film to look at the working lives connected with Purbeck and Portland quarries and Chesil beach fishing crews.
