A new gym is set to open in Ferndown in the former Poundland and Wilko store.
The Victoria Road site will be transformed into a facility of more than 10,000 sq ft across 2 floors, with 2 exercise studios and a dedicated Reformer Pilates studio.
Plans include Hammer Strength, Life Fitness and Booty Builder equipment, an infrared sauna, a recovery zone and Reformer beds with touchscreens for more than 800 on demand video workouts available.
The franchised business is expected to create several employment opportunities for people in the area and will be owned by Kyle du Preez, who is opening his 1st Snap Fitness gym.
Kyle said he was "really looking forward" to bringing Snap Fitness to Ferndown and wanted the gym to be "somewhere that people feel completely at ease" when they walk through the door.
He added that "community and belonging" matter to people who use gyms, while the company says Ferndown will become its 3rd Dorset location after Christchurch and Winton in recent years.
