Police received a report at 5.07pm about the crash, which happened between the Roundhouse Roundabout and the Lake Gates Roundabout, near Corfe Mullen, on that section of the road.
Emergency services attended the scene and the rider was taken to hospital, although police said they did not have a confirmed update on the motorcyclist’s condition at the time of the statement.
Road closures were put in place along the route so emergency crews could respond to the collision and work safely at the scene between the two roundabouts during the incident.
