A Morebus driver has been shortlisted for two industry awards for his work with passengers.

Aiden Falshaw-Skelly is a finalist in the Top National Driver category at the UK Bus Awards and is also shortlisted for Customer Excellence Champion at the Go-Ahead Gold Awards this year.

Since joining Morebus in October 2022, he has received 38 customer commendations, with passengers contacting the company to praise his professionalism, kindness and customer care, and he also works as a Driver Mentor helping to train and support new drivers as they start.

Managing director Ed Wills said the recognition was "thoroughly deserved" because Aiden brings "care, professionalism and pride" to his role every day, while his mentoring helps new colleagues build their skills and confidence.

Customers have commended Aiden for supporting elderly and vulnerable passengers, assisting people with disabilities, dealing calmly with difficult situations and helping members of the public during medical emergencies when they have needed it.

The UK Bus Awards recognise work across the bus sector, while the Go-Ahead Gold Awards celebrate colleagues who have contributed to customers, communities and the wider business, with winners for both awards due to be announced later this year.
