A dance and multimedia show inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is coming to Bournemouth.
Meet the Hatter will be staged at Pavilion Dance South West on Saturday 24 October, as part of a UK and international tour by Joss Arnott Dance that includes a stop in Bournemouth.
The production combines dance, storytelling, visuals and an original score while giving a new perspective on the Hatter through a staged mix of performance and multimedia for audiences at Pavilion Dance South West.
The story begins with an "empty tea party" and the Hatter feeling isolated, before he uses his imagination to create his own version of Wonderland in a setting shaped for families.
Its themes include "play" and belief in what people can do, with the show described as suitable for audiences of "all ages" who want a performance led by story and movement.
The visit gives local families another arts event at the Bournemouth venue, with the source material offering a familiar starting point for children and adults who know Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
