Detectives are asking witnesses to come forward after a man sustained serious injuries during an alleged assault in Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, with specific individuals sought. Dorset Police said the incident was reported at around 4.15am on Sunday 16 August, when a man in his 50s from London sustained stab wounds following an assault by a woman.
He was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious but not life threatening. A woman aged 40 from Poole was later arrested and charged with wounding with intent.
Detectives from BCP CID are continuing enquiries and have reviewed CCTV from the area. Detective Constable Hannah Duell said there were “people in the area who witnessed what happened”.
She is particularly keen to trace a man wearing a light blue top, dark shorts and white trainers who was in Sams Chicken before the incident.
Officers also want to speak to a man in a white shirt, black tie and dark trousers who reported the incident to a nearby security guard before leaving.
Detective Constable Duell said: “I am also keen to hear from anyone else who was in the area and may have seen what happened.” Information can be given to Dorset Police online or through Crimestoppers anonymously.
