Dorset Police said the report related to an incident between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday 12 July 2026. A man was reported to have been seen performing an indecent act in the Waterloo Road and Wimborne Road area.

Officers carried out enquiries and issued an image appeal as part of their work on the incident. The force has now confirmed that "a man has been identified" in connection with the report.

The investigation has not finished, with Dorset Police saying enquiries are "ongoing". No further details about the man, or the circumstances of the report, have been released in the update at this stage.

Police are still asking anyone who saw anything, or who has information that could assist officers, to get in touch. The appeal relates specifically to the area close to Fleetsbridge roundabout in Poole.
