The supermarket has applied for advertisement consent at Westover Retail Park in Bournemouth, where a new store was approved in March after earlier concerns about traffic congestion, design and cycle lane infrastructure were resolved.
The application covers several signs around the site, including a six metre high illuminated roadside sign, illuminated signs on the building canopy, externally lit advertising boards, a freestanding illuminated poster display and trolley bay signage.
The store scheme followed the refusal of a similar application in 2025, and construction on the Castle Lane West site is expected to begin early next year, although an opening date has not yet been confirmed.
BCP Council is consulting on the advertising proposal until September 30 under planning application P/26/03758/ADV, with this stage of the process focused on signage rather than the store approval itself.
