A cofounder of Bournemouth planning firm KPPC has retired after 23 years with the business.
Angela Parke has stepped down as chief financial officer under succession plans which have placed operations director Kat Burdett and planning director Adam Bennett in charge of the firm, while cofounder Ken Parke remains chief executive.
Angela and her husband Ken established KPPC in 2003, following her earlier career in financial planning, insurance, sales, marketing and advertising. She later led the company’s administration, finance and marketing work while supporting its planning team.
Her planning experience included drafting complex Section 106 agreements covering client contributions to local communities. Describing retirement as “a bittersweet moment”, Angela said she was proud of the business she had helped to build.
Ken said Angela had been “absolutely instrumental” in establishing and developing KPPC, while Kat praised her contribution to its growth and financial strength. Adam said her commitment, drive and business judgement would not be forgotten.
KPPC employs 9 people at its Winton offices and advises private, public, householder and commercial clients across the UK on planning applications, appeals, changes of use, enforcement matters, site appraisals and development plans.
