Dorset Police said the incident was reported between 5pm and 6pm on 12 July 2026, in the Waterloo Road and Wimborne Road area near the roundabout. Officers are now trying to identify a man in connection with their enquiries.
A police image has been issued as part of the investigation, with officers asking local people who recognise the man to come forward and help with enquiries into what happened. Police Constable Mike Wells said he wanted anyone with information to "please get in touch", and added that officers also want to hear from people who may have "witnessed the incident".
