Garden waste subscriptions have opened for 2027 for households across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
BCP Council has started renewals and new applications for its fortnightly garden waste collection service, which will run from January 25 to December 10, 2027, with 23 collections planned in total.
People are being asked to sign up online by December 31, 2026, if they want every collection from the start of the service period, wherever they live in Bournemouth, Christchurch or Poole.
Collection calendars will remain online as part of the council’s sustainability work, and residents can check their dates and download a personalised calendar through the council’s website when they manage their subscription.
Councillor Andy Hadley, the portfolio holder for climate response, environment and energy, said the service turns garden waste into “useful compost” and asked residents to “renew early” for the 2027 collections.
He added that collecting more than 12,000 tonnes of garden waste over the past year had helped to keep organic material away from landfill and support the council’s sustainability goals.
