A fundraiser has been launched to support a 41-year-old mum diagnosed with incurable stomach cancer.
Hollie, who is married to Glenn and has 3 daughters aged 7, 12 and 15, received her diagnosis a few weeks into the school summer holidays this August and is determined to fight for as much time with her family as possible.
Friends and relatives hope the money raised will enable Hollie to explore specialist advice and additional treatment options that may not be readily available through current NHS pathways, including potential approaches linked to characteristics already identified in her cancer.
Organisers say they cannot know what any treatment might achieve, but want to ensure money is not the reason Hollie cannot investigate an option which could potentially give her “more time”.
The fundraiser will also help the family create memories together, with Christmas at home with Glenn and the girls described as an “important milestone”.
Hollie’s sister Amy established the fundraiser with help from friends Beckie Kops, Jo Warne and Lisa Gould, with Hollie and Glenn’s knowledge.
Glenn is the named beneficiary, meaning money raised will go directly to him and the family.
