Free water saving devices are being offered to Bournemouth Water customers during continuing dry weather.
The company is asking customers, businesses and visitors across the region to use water wisely while prolonged dry weather and significantly below average rainfall continue, with the devices aimed at improving efficiency in the home.
The range includes a shower regulator for the base of a shower hose, biodegradable LeakyLoo detection strips, a Flowpoint shower head for mains water fed showers, twin tap inserts and a kitchen swivel tap aerator.
The shower regulator is designed to deliver 8 litres a minute, while the Flowpoint shower head is regulated at 7 litres a minute compared with a standard 12 litres a minute.
Megan Williams, Water Efficiency Delivery Manager for Bournemouth Water, said "Every drop of water matters", adding that simple actions can support "long term environmental resilience" and help households use less water.
The company says the devices are easy to install and can bring immediate benefits by improving water efficiency around the home, with customers able to order them through Bournemouth Water.
