BCP Council has put forward plans for new agreements covering land at Poole Park, Iford Playing Fields and Broadstone Recreation Ground, with each site linked to existing sports or recreation use.
In Poole Park, land is used by Poole Radio Yacht Club and Poole Park Bowls Club, while Iford sites cover East Dorset Dockers Rugby Football Club and Bournemouth BMX Club.
The fifth area is at Broadstone Recreation Ground, and council officers have said each location will "remain available for public use" if the leases go ahead as proposed by the authority.
Any use would still be "subject to existing restrictions", and plans showing the locations can be viewed on the council website before residents decide whether to respond to the consultation.
Residents can comment or object until 12pm on October 23, 2026, by writing to the estates manager at the Town Hall in Bournemouth or by emailing estates@bcpcouncil.gov.uk before the deadline.
Responses must make clear which of the five sites they relate to, so comments can be matched to the correct proposal when the council considers the next steps for each lease.
