The application for Southbourne Evangelical Church on Admiralty Road includes three two storey houses facing the road, with two chalet bungalows behind them, plus parking, access, drainage and landscaping for the site.
A planning statement says the congregation moved to Citygate Church on Tuckton Road in September 2025, and that marketing between October 2025 and July 2026 found “no interest” in community or worship use.
Each home would have a private rear garden, a cycle store and a bin store, while 10 parking spaces are proposed, including two for each property and electric vehicle charging at five spaces.
The documents say the scheme would keep and improve boundary planting “where practicable”, and financial contributions are proposed towards protecting the Dorset Heaths and New Forest sites, which are referred to in the application.
Public consultation runs until November 6 under application P/26/04696/FUL, with BCP Council planning officers are expected to decide the proposal after the consultation has closed for the Admiralty Road site in Southbourne.
