The Dorset Mind BIG Walk will bring two coastal routes to Sandbanks later this month.
Taking place on Sunday 27 September, the event offers a 30K challenge from Sandbanks to Hengistbury Head and back, alongside a shorter 5K route ending at Branksome Chine Beach in Poole.
The shorter walk is described as accessible and suitable for people of all ages and abilities, while individuals, families and groups are invited to take part and raise money together.
Organisers say the event is inspired by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, encouraging people to connect, be active, take notice and spend time outdoors while helping Dorset Mind’s services and community programmes.
Walkers can participate individually, in groups or as families, with the event combining outdoor activity, community connection and fundraising for mental health support provided by the charity across Dorset.
Dorset Mind says the day is a chance to “move, connect” and support better mental health, with every step helping its work across communities throughout the county for local people.
