A Christchurch landowner must clear fencing and a cypress hedgerow from an untidy plot.

The Section 215 notice covers land at Comet Way, where Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council says the condition of the site is harming neighbourhood amenity after complaints were made about the plot.

Officers used powers under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, and the notice calls for the "complete removal" of all Heras type security fencing from the property, including the temporary materials linked to it.

That includes support blocks, feet, clips and associated fencing items, while the landowners must also remove, from the north eastern edge of the land, a cypress hedgerow that is no longer living.

The notice says all waste from the work must be taken away and the land left "clean and tidy", and it is due to take effect on November 30, at the end of next month.

The landowner will then have one month to complete the required work, while any appeal against the enforcement notice must be made to the magistrates' court by November 30, according to the notice.
