AFC Bournemouth have signed Michele Di Gregorio as Will Dennis completes a permanent move away.
The 29-year-old Di Gregorio has joined on a season long loan from Juventus, bringing experience from Serie A, the Champions League and spells with Inter Milan, Renate, Novara, Pordenone and Monza.
He helped Monza reach Serie A for the first time and was named the league’s Best Goalkeeper for 2023/24 after recording 14 clean sheets in 37 appearances across all competitions.
Di Gregorio said Bournemouth was “the right” decision and added that he felt the club’s ambition to grow, while President of Football Operations Tiago Pinto described him as a goalkeeper with “excellent qualities and valuable experience”.
He will wear the number 20 shirt and join his new teammates before Bournemouth’s first Premier League home fixture of the season this weekend.
Dennis, meanwhile, has joined MK Dons permanently after 11 seasons with the Cherries, having entered the academy at a young age and progressed through the development system.
He made his first team debut against Oldham Athletic in the FA Cup in January 2021 and later gained senior experience during loan spells with Kilmarnock and Leyton Orient.
