Sabrecore Holdings Ltd has applied to change the use of the building at numbers 298 to 304 Charminster Road in Bournemouth, with planning papers describing the proposal as "shared accommodation".

The scheme includes a café and gym on the ground floor, extensions to the side and rear, internal alterations, access changes, bin and cycle storage and other supporting infrastructure for the site.

The side extension would cover the second and third floors, while the rear extension would be four storeys high, and the number of car parking spaces on the site would fall from seven to one.

Residents can view the plans through the council's planning system using application number P/26/05089/FUL, which relates to the proposed change of use and building works at the Charminster Road site.

The application is now out for public consultation until 18 November, after which council planning officers are expected to decide whether the proposal can go ahead under current planning procedures.
