Detectives investigating an assault in Bournemouth town centre have released CCTV as they try to identify a man following a serious head injury to a teenager. Detectives have released CCTV after a teenager was seriously injured in Bournemouth town centre.

The incident was reported at around three am on Sunday, 2 August 2026, when a man aged 18 was assaulted by another man with a motorcycle helmet, causing him to fall to the ground and suffer a serious head injury.

Detective Constable Sophie Stockton, of BCP CID, said the investigation "remains ongoing", and officers are trying to identify the man shown in the CCTV image as part of their enquiries.

She said she would "urge anyone with information" about the man’s identity to get in touch, as detectives continue to establish what happened in the town centre that morning in Bournemouth.
