Elizabeth Jean Watson was found guilty at Weymouth Magistrates' Court of failing, "without reasonable excuse", to comply with requirements imposed by a fire safety inspector.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said it became aware that parts of the premises were being used as a holiday let after a guest raised concerns about alleged fire safety failings.
Fire safety inspectors had tried several times to enter the property so they could carry out an inspection, but the service said Watson did not cooperate or allow access.
The sentencing took place at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Friday 11 September. The trial went ahead without Watson, who did not attend, and the service said she had also missed earlier hearings.
Tom Huntley, Fire Safety Prosecution Manager, said inspections of commercial premises were vital to protect people from "serious injury" in the event of a fire.
He said the service would work with people to reduce fire risks where possible, but added that refusing assistance can be an offence and may lead to court action.
