Bournemouth’s international film festival is back next month, bringing cinema, talks, workshops and creative networking to the town.
The event will feature short films, feature films, documentaries and international cinema, alongside seminars, workshops and discussions with people working across the film industry and Bournemouth’s wider creative community throughout the day.
Supporters say the festival can help the area’s creative economy by giving filmmakers, animators, writers, performers, producers, creative businesses and students somewhere to “meet, learn, collaborate and be seen” alongside others in the sector.
The programme is also being promoted as a chance for students and emerging filmmakers to make new connections, while businesses, creative professionals and cinema fans are being encouraged to take part and support Bournemouth’s cultural events.
Festival organisers say events like this can bring people into Bournemouth, support local businesses and help build the town’s reputation as a place where creative work is “made, shared and celebrated”.
