The 2 day event takes place at Hilton Bournemouth on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October, with films selected from more than 300 entries alongside workshops, networking sessions and talks covering screenwriting, stunt work, artificial intelligence and television production.

Highlights include the premiere of Miss Jobson, about civil rights lawyer Diane Jobson, and the final UK screening of LOMU, a documentary about rugby player Jonah Lomu produced by Bournemouth based Sylver Entertainment.

Saturday will include an exclusive pre release screening of Hot Flash, while locally directed The Banjo Boys follows 2 Malawian street musicians travelling from Lilongwe to Glastonbury after building their own instruments.

Festival director Steve McCarten said the programme includes “more than 60 shortlisted films”, with entries competing across categories including documentary, animation and short film.

Oli Tridgell, series director of Made in Chelsea and The Real Housewives of London, will also discuss structured reality television on Saturday, before the festival winners are announced at an awards ceremony that evening.
