A man's body has been found during the search for a missing man from Poole.
Daniel, 31, had been reported missing after last being seen at around midnight on Tuesday 18 August, with officers carrying out extensive searches supported by HM Coastguard and Dorset Search and Rescue as part of the response.
Around 2pm on Friday 21 August, Dorset Police said it was reported that the body of a man had been found in the water near to Lake Pier in Poole following the searches carried out since he was reported missing.
The man has not yet been formally identified, but police say he is believed to be Daniel and that his family has been informed of the discovery on Friday afternoon at this stage.
The death is "not being treated as suspicious", Dorset Police said, adding that its thoughts are with Daniel's family and loved ones at an extremely difficult time following the search.
