GCSE pupils across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are receiving results and planning their next steps.
Schools opened early to welcome students, with staff available to give advice and support as young people consider choices for September, including sixth form, college, apprenticeships, technical qualifications and training programmes.
Hattie, from Parkstone Grammar School and a BCP Council Young Media Ambassador, said her year group had "worked really hard", adding that she was excited to start A Levels in September.
Natalya, from St Edward's School, said she was nervous about her results but knew she had "done my best", and hoped for the grades needed for the next stage of her education.
Councillor Richard Burton, BCP Council's Portfolio Holder for Children, Young People, Education and Skills, told pupils they should be proud of their achievements and said there were still options if results were not what they expected.
Lisa Linscott, Director of Education and Skills, said young people should explore the route that feels right for them, while pupils who need help are encouraged to speak to their school as soon as possible.
