Live comedy nights established across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are expanding to Verwood this October.
Angela Barnes will headline Coastal Comedy’s opening show at Verwood Hub on Saturday 17 October 2026, joining comedy magician Wayne the Weird and Welsh comedian David Arnold for a programme hosted by founder Adrienne Coles.
The launch introduces regular shows at the venue, extending the reach of the independent club, which began in 2015 and has spent more than a decade presenting live comedy across the South West.
Barnes moved from health and social care into comedy in 2010, later winning the BBC New Comedy Award and appearing on television programmes including Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and House of Games.
Locally based Adrienne, who personally selects the performers for each show, said: “I'm so excited to be bringing Coastal Comedy to Verwood Hub”, adding that she wants the events to be accessible to as many people as possible.
