Police are asking residents in Alton Road, Bournemouth, to check CCTV after a bag and wallet were stolen from a home in the early hours on Wednesday. A bag and wallet were stolen during an early morning burglary at a Bournemouth home.
The break in happened at a residential address in Alton Road between 3.30am and 4am on Wednesday 2 September 2026, when police say a man entered the property and took the items from inside.
Dorset Police said the man is white, aged in his 30s to 40s, and was wearing a black balaclava, a long sleeve blue Nike hooded jumper, dark cargo style trousers and Nike trainers with a green Nike tick.
Police Constable Antony Brooks, of Dorset Police, said officers are "carrying out enquiries" and want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area during the early hours.
He also asked residents to check home CCTV for "anything of relevance", and anyone with information can contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260137132 in relation to the burglary.
