AFC Bournemouth wants to add women’s team facilities at its Performance Centre near Canford Magna.
The plans form part of a new planning application for the Knighton Lane training complex, which also includes a larger spectator stand, floodlights for another football pitch and 74 extra parking spaces.
More than 30 supporting documents have been submitted to BCP Council, including new plans for the Performance Centre building, revised landscaping and site layouts, floodlighting assessments and a revised phasing plan.
The Performance Centre has been developed as a permanent training base for AFC Bournemouth, bringing the club’s football operations together at the Canford Magna site as work on the project continues.
The documents say the changes would provide "dedicated facilities" for AFC Bournemouth Women, while stand changes would increase the facilities available for people who watch matches at the Knighton Lane site.
The application was submitted on 16 September and validated the next day, and it remains "under consideration" by BCP Council while public comments are being accepted through the planning process.
