The incident happened at around 12.35pm yesterday on the A35 dual carriageway near Litton Cheney. It involved a silver Ford KA and a second vehicle, which was described as similar to a dark coloured Honda CR-V.

The driver of the second vehicle stopped at the scene to check their vehicle, but did not leave any details before driving away.
Police Constable Daniel Pidgeon, of West Dorset police, said officers want to hear from people who saw what happened. He said: "I am appealing to any witnesses" and asked anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact the force.
