Dorset Police said it received a report at 12.58pm concerning a collision close to Canford Bottom Roundabout, on the A31 near Wimborne, at lunchtime today and officers were sent to the scene.
After officers attended, police received a further report that one of the vehicles involved in the collision was on fire, with the fire service also called to deal with the incident.
Police confirmed that “road closures have been put in place” while the emergency services respond near the roundabout, affecting the A31 through the Canford Bottom area during the afternoon today.
The collision was reported shortly after 1pm today on Bournemouth One.
