What is Bournemouth One?

We are a radio service available on DAB in Dorset along with our website, app, social feeds, and all your smart devices (Alexa, SIRI, etc) bringing you local news, events and traffic information, all in real-time, without the clutter.

Bournemouth One is playing what we consider the best songs on the radio from the 80s to today, along with a once-an-hour "Classic One", "Slow One", and "New One" to mix things up a little.

We're lovin' Bournemouth - but our news and information coverage includes Christchurch and Poole, plus surrounding towns in east Dorset.

As we are online, we know how many people are listening, and in Q3, 2025, we attracted 30,000 unique listeners. Our digital radio platform reaches around 400,000 people in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Every 20 minutes we bring you short updates with real-time local information - what's on today, the traffic and roadworks happening right now, what the weather doing and what's coming soon. Plus updates on  business and surf conditions.

We don't have DJs or long advert breaks. You can expect around 55 minutes of music per hour - and you can contact us via this page, or download our app to send us a voice note for us to play on the radio.
