A white transit van has collided with a stationary BMW on the A338 towards Ashley Heath.
Officers investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report at 6.25pm on Thursday 18 May 2023 of a collision on the northbound carriageway of the A338, between the Blackwater Junction and the Ashley Heath Roundabout. It was reported that the collision involved a black BMW, which had been stationary on the roadside, and a white Ford Transit van.
There were no reports of any serious injuries.
Police Constable Alexandra Donnelly, of Dorset Police, said: “This collision caused disruption on a major route, and we are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“I would urge any witnesses or any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please contact us.
“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding as police responded to the incident.”
